Born on April 12, 1982, in Fargo, Jenny spent her entire life in the North Dakota community that she loved so dearly. 

She attended Fargo South High School, where she made lifelong friendships and was known for her friendly and caring nature. 

After graduating, Jenny went on to study at North Dakota State University, earning a degree in social work. 

Her desire to help others led her to a fulfilling career as a social worker, where she made a significant impact on the lives of those she served.

Jenny dedicated her professional life to working with families and children, helping them navigate through challenging times and providing much-needed support. 

She had an incredible ability to connect with people, offering them comfort, guidance, and practical assistance when they needed it most. 

Her colleagues admired her for her tireless work ethic and her deep compassion for others, and she quickly became a trusted figure in the community. 

Jenny's clients often spoke of her ability to make them feel heard and valued, qualities that defined both her personal and professional relationships.

Outside of work, Jenny was a devoted mother, sister, and friend. She loved spending time with her two children, Ethan and Ava, whom she adored more than anything. 

Family was the center of Jenny’s world, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She was an active member of her church, often volunteering for local causes and events, and she enjoyed participating in community activities.

Jenny’s sudden passing has left her family and friends in deep shock. Her warmth, compassion, and selflessness made her a beloved figure in the Fargo community, and she will be remembered for the profound impact she had on the lives of so many.

Jenny Gilbertson is survived by her two children, Ethan and Ava; her parents, Robert and Karen Gilbertson; her brother, Mark Gilbertson; and a large circle of friends and extended family who will forever cherish her memory. 

A memorial service will be held on October 14, 2024, at a local church in Fargo, where loved ones will gather to honor her life, share memories, and celebrate the beautiful person she was.
